The Oceania Judo Union (OJU) is pleased to announce the election of a new President and Executive Committee, following an Extraordinary Congress meeting held in Nadi, Fiji, on 4 November 2023.

The election marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for judo in Oceania, as the newly appointed leadership team brings fresh energy, diverse perspectives, and a strong commitment to the growth and unity of the sport across the region.

Newly Elected Executive Committee:

  • President: Kate Corkery (Australia)
  • 1st Vice President: Nazario Fiakaifonu (Vanuatu)
  • 2nd Vice President: Kiki Velloza (New Zealand)
  • General Secretary: Alex Vallentine (Australia)
  • General Treasurer: Myriam Beaumont (New Caledonia)
  • Sports Director: Trindade de Abreu Abédias (New Caledonia)

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to President Kate Corkery and all newly elected members of the Executive Committee. Their leadership will help guide the continued development of judo across the Oceania region, with a focus on collaboration, transparency, and long-term sustainability.
