The International Judo Federation (IJF) has officially announced that the 2025 Kata and Veterans World Championships will be held in Paris, France.

Following the global success of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris and the continued prestige of the annual Paris Grand Slam, the IJF has confirmed that the next edition of this major event will return to the French capital—one of the most iconic cities in the world of judo.

The announcement was made on Monday, 14 April 2025, and marks another exciting milestone for the international judo community. The event will once again bring together judoka from around the world to celebrate technical excellence, lifelong participation, and the spirit of judo.

Event Dates:

Veterans World Championships: 3–7 November 2025

Kata World Championships: 8–9 November 2025

Further details and the official outlines of the event will be released in the coming months by the IJF.

In a joint message, Jean-Luc Rougé, Chair of the IJF Kata Commission, and Denis Weisser, Chair of the IJF Veterans Commission, encouraged the global judo family to take part:

“Please save the dates and we hope that you will be part of this great judo event. Good luck and see you in Paris!”
