The Cadet division of the 2025 Panamerican & Oceania Judo Championships took place on 18 April in Lima, Peru, with young athletes from across the Oceania region proudly stepping onto the international stage.

It was a strong showing for Oceania, with standout results from both Australia and French Polynesia, highlighting the region’s emerging talent and growing depth at the cadet level.

Australia – 4th Place Overall

Australia finished 4th in the overall standings behind judo powerhouses Brazil, Canada, and the United States. The team delivered several excellent performances, including:

🥇 Gold – Rika Hirose (Women’s Under 48kg)

🥈 Silver – Akos Kelly (Men’s Under 81kg)

🥉 Bronze – Lily Tai Tin (Women’s Under 63kg)

5th – Hannah McHenry (Women’s Under 70kg)

7th – Max Pogreb (Men’s Under 60kg)

7th – Crosby Peake (Men’s Under 60kg)

French Polynesia – 9th Place Overall

French Polynesia also enjoyed success on Day 1 of the Championships, finishing 9th overall in the standings:

🥉 Bronze – Ra Imaru Holozet (Men’s Over 90kg)

5th – Ambre Popoff (Women’s Under 48kg)
